Terms of use
This translation is provided for convenience; only the French version is legally binding.
Purpose
These terms govern the use of the Aldus application and its website, published by ADVIJU INVESTISSEMENT SAS. Aldus lets you list the books you own, record where they are shelved and who you lend them to.
By creating an account, you accept these terms. The application can be tried free of charge for 7 days, with all features included, without any means of payment; after that, the Aldus Pro subscription (see the terms of sale) lets you continue to add, shelve, lend and correct your books.
Account
The account is created with Apple or Google. You are responsible for access to that account and for the use made of it.
During the trial, a library can be modified from one device at a time. You can export your library and delete your account at any time from the application. After the trial, without a subscription, nothing is lost: your books remain viewable and exportable, read-only.
Content
Your notes, quotes, reviews, photos and corrections belong to you and remain private. You agree to enter only lawful content, and to limit third-party data (such as a borrower’s name) to what is useful to you.
Book records come from bibliographic sources; Aldus does not make up any information: a piece of data comes from a source, or the field stays empty. These records may nevertheless contain errors, which you can correct for your library.
Liability
ADVIJU makes its best efforts to ensure the availability and backup of the service, without being able to guarantee that it will never be interrupted. We recommend that you export your library regularly.
ADVIJU may suspend an account in the event of use contrary to these terms or to the law. These terms may change; the applicable version is the one published on this page, and any significant change is notified to you in the application.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first (contact@adviju.fr); failing that, the competent courts are those designated by the rules applicable to consumers.
Consumer mediation: in accordance with articles L.612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, you may use, free of charge, the consumer mediator to which ADVIJU INVESTISSEMENT SAS belongs; the mediator’s contact details will be given here, as the appointment is in progress.
